Where to Find Inspiration for Work and Life

What inspires you most? What or who motivates you to wake up and go on day by day?

We all have a thing, an idea or a person (we don't even need to know him or her personally) that makes us to live and work, to strive to achieve goals every day, to make steps that will bring us closer to success, even if this path will be very long and difficult.

We all need something or someone like that – to find a sense and a reason and to keep eyes on a horizon. Sometimes inspirational sources for our work and life may overlap and weave tightly with each other, and sometimes they follow parallel and not even face each other. These two ideas or two sources are combined by one moment - they both affect one specific life, one career, one destiny, one person.

And that's you.

What to do if you wake up today and don't find a source to go on?

Where to find your inspiration for work and life? Let's talk about it.

Be thankful

Psychologists recommend an exercise for everyone who feels exhausted, unhappy and doesn’t see why he has to continue working, or travelling, or relating, or anything else what he does every day. Open your notebook and write down at least three (better five) things in your life that you are really thankful for. Even if you think that your life is unsuccessful and unhappy at all, be sure – you'll find these things. Repeat the exercise daily, better to do it in the evening. When you'll finish with the common life thanks, start to write down the day thanks – what you are thankful today and right now. By the end of the week read your notes. You will be really surprised how happy, interesting and inspiring life you have. This exercise helps you to refocus – you'll pay attention to the most important and good things.

Push a reset button

Make your own reset – physically, psychologically, mentally. The best way to do it is to have a vacation. All the busy workers who are reading this now are already feeling anxious – stop it. You don't have to spend a month in a desert or even to take several weeks for your rest. It would be better to have about two weeks, but if you don't have this amount of time (for example, you are a business owner and can't let this all to work by itself), it is good to use even 2-3 days but take these days-off regularly.  Important! You won't ever reset your mind and nervous system if you continue working or answering your phone or writing emails or even surfing your social media accounts while you are having a rest. You should leave all this stuff at home and go – watching sunrises and sunsets, dropping stones into the water, smelling fresh air, touching trees and flowers, playing with pets. Go live!

Read books

Whether you want to relax or to find a new idea, a book is your best friend. It's not necessary to explain it to modern intelligent people (we sure you are one of them) – books are the best sources for ideas, inspiration, new skills and just a relaxation in a company of an interesting story. When you are reading a book, your own "cinema" in your brain is working and showing interesting "movies" with spectacular special effects, your brain is developing new neuron connections, you are feeling new and diverse emotions. This is a 100% effective source for your new inspirational way to live and work. Many successful people and businessmen recommend everyone to read as many books as it is possible. Divide these books in several groups – for work, for relax etc. and read one after one.

Start an idea book

Buy a new and stylish notepad – a small one made of paper (it is important!) and a new pen. Put it into your bag to have a possibility to open it any time. The best idea in any field – life, work, relations, parenting, hobby – can find you any time. So you should write it down immediately. Why paper? Experts in neuropsychology say that the nerve endings in our fingers are closely associated with the active areas of the brain, and everything that is written down by hands our brain perceives as a program, unlike that what was typed on a keyboard. This works for adults – those who were taught to write first than to type. We can't say it about today's kids, but while they grow, experts will find out something new.

Believe instead of them

Some successful people confess that they find an inspiration in people who… don’t believe in them. This may be parents, relatives, partners, colleagues, investors who told you that you'd never succeed, that your business ideas were stupid, that your appearance was unconvincing and no one would ever believe in your idea. Such style of attitude can motivate many of us. Of course, you may not follow your way and better to listen to them and give up. But this is your choice, not theirs! So you choose – to inspire with this attitude, to feel a healthy anger and to be passionate of proving your success to the world. Or to sit down and tell yourself that you are a loser. Believe in yourself instead of any person who doesn't believe in you!

And we believe in you, too.

Good luck!
